Earnestly acted and very well meant, this listless, cliched family drama from debutant director Nir Bergman looks like a soapy Dawson's Creek transplanted to Israel.
After the tragic death of her husband, an overworked, clinically depressed hospital doctor can't control her children. Older daughter sings in a band; older son dresses as a mouse and hands out flyers on the subway; they're sensitive, vulnerable, mixed-up, unhappy - we read that loud and clear.
But there's a distinct shortfall in reasons to care about any of these characters, and the final-act hospitalisation of the younger boy is a contrived narrative crisis straight out of the small-screen manual.
