Crowe lends his star power to help out Aussie chum director Polson, playing a tender Buffalo cop who prepares mozzarella salads for his comatose wife before tracking down a murderous teenager. The kid butchered his parents but is now out of jail and on a road trip with a 16-year-old girl stowing along. It's an odd film of twists and flashbacks but never quite builds tension or mystery.
