GE: 'Enhance Your Lighting' (starts at 00:06) - US

Jeff Goldblum offers a wonderfully strange performance as Terry Quattro – the man whose celebrity is down to "really great lighting" – in this US infomercial spoof for GE. There are loads of terrific gags in its two minutes and Goldblum's curious delivery proves a perfect vehicle for this style of comedy.
Agency: BBDO (New York)
Director: Tim & Eric

Vorwerk: 'Love Sucks' (starts at 02:10) - Germany

This German advert delivers the heart-warming tale of a diminutive robot who falls head over heels for a dainty vacuum cleaner. This cleverly demonstrates the effectiveness of the advertised gadget without resorting to a dull "man in a white coat" formula; bewitching us instead with its unlikely love story.
Agency: Saatchi & Saatchi (Düsseldorf)
Director: Jamie Rafn

Kit Kat: 'Splactor' (starts at 04:34) - UK

Not content with using one character to showcase his talent, actor Martin Mahogany ambitiously plays two parts at the same time. Well, not quite at the same time ... the two sides of his body wear different costumes and makeup so that he has to turn 180 degrees to switch character, as we learn in an explanation delivered perfectly deadpan.
Agency: JWT London
Director: Misha Manson-Smith

Sony Xperia: 'Gliding Lights' (starts at 06:37) - UK

Eerily beautiful, Sony's latest Xperia advert uses snowboarders, illuminated suits and a wooded mountainside at night to show what you can do with the advertised phone's powerful camera. Of course, it helps if you're a skilled film-maker - like director Peter Thwaites - but this is a brilliant illustration of the Xperia's abilities.

DnB: 'The Morning After' (starts at 07:22) - Norway

To celebrate George Clooney's much publicised wedding, Ad Break decided to remind you of this 2012 Norwegian advert which has a woman waking to discover that somehow or other she has ended up married to the ultimate silver fox.  There are obvious echoes of The Hangover as she pieces it all together and Clooney very ably contributes to the comedy. The text at the end translates as: "Some people are lucky ... the rest of us are well-advised to save." Indeed.
